This is a great painting. I see a lot of potential with it. The only issue I see with the composition is the middle ground. It seems there is too much negative space in the middle ground which creates a divided line between the foreground (warrior) and the background (mountains). If you blur your eyes I think you will see this better. Finding a way to transition to the background in a nice gradient, creating depth and preserving the contrast of the warrior, will make this a very strong piece. I know this can be tough since it's snow but look at pictures of snowy mountains to get ideas of how to create the depth. There is usually a transition in color and light. Using the middle ground to draw the eye up the warrior will give this an epic impression.
Some strokes I see should maybe be blended in. They look a little sketchy and unfinished since you spent so much work detailing the warrior.
The lighting on the warrior is done very well and makes him pop out well against the mountains. He is also detailed well. The colors used really create a cold feeling.
It's a great piece. Keep it up! I think you have a lot of great paintings ahead.
It's such an obvious thing, but I like the way you have him framed by the two mountains in the background. Also like how his sword seems to come right out of the drawing...kinda 3-D!!! Plus, you do have a way with the muscular male anatomy!
